Default Make the Ursan \ Wolf \ Raven blessings non elite!

Simply put, these skills dont see much use. Theyre powerfull, but not powerfull enough to warrant that elite spot. Which in my oppinion is a damn shame! Because more importaintly then anything else, theyre fun!

And while im sure this would warrant a hundred different ways of them beeing abused in PVE. PVE is stupid easy with or without this! So adding it makes a very small difference but adds a ton of versatility and fun to a character, and it allows you to fill certain roles when needed that you normally wouldnt be able to fill. The current version of the skills where you are stuck in the forms for X amount of time along with the zero energy you get when leaving the form is quite a lot of punishment anyhow. If anything needs to be changed though cooldown can be reduced

what do you want to run as an elite with one of those forms?

actually, why do you want to run one of those forms anyway at all, elite or non elite

If it's fun: Use it. If you think it's underpowered, you're not finding it fun enough to play with it.
Seriously, it's not about these skills being weak but other skills being too strong. They are not fun enough because otherwise you wouldn't be complaining about it using up an elite spot but using it instead.

Yes, because a skill that changes your entire skillbar clearly doesn't do enough to be an elite skill.

The way I look at these skills is first they needed to be in the game because they pretty much define who the Norn are.
They became too powerful or ursan did in some players hands and following many complaints there was a rewrite.

I think they have abandoned doing anything with these skills and are instead making them part of GW2 where they make the Norn characters different to other races.
Its just possible when they have finalised the gw2 version they may look at them again for gw1.

I never liked them much, liked the change of form but they just didn't fit in with my idea of party skills.
Now the Wurm and destroyer riding and skills were a lot of fun and in the right place very useful.

As you say, PvE is 'stupid easy'. Thus, why would it matter if you were running a sub-par skill? You're going to steamroll through pretty much anything anyway. If you want to do something for fun, go ahead, but don't suggest that playstyle should be buffed just for you.

Currently you can perma forms by arcane mimicking AP. But it's not worth it for ursan, which was hit hard by the armor-respecting changes and negation of weapon damage. Nor was volfen ever worth it aside from the IAS boost to allies. Raven for easy, classless AoE armor-ignoring damage is probably the only one that might even see use, and at that I think it's still usually outclassed by DwG.

Shortening their uptime/downtime ratio, making them non-elite, and maybe a small tweak on raven damage would likely be fine. They'd still be basically bad, but people might have some fun without feeling like they have to run no elite. If you really want you can make them immune to AP, but they just aren't that good anyway.

honestly since speedbooking is becoming quite common now, 7 hero update its not nearly as hard to rank up in any eotn title track. i say revert them back!

The only changes needed was to remove that silly Energy degen/regen mechanic they used (and thus the ability to pretty much perma the forms), and those are long gone, plus dampening Ursan's damage a bit (which was done by making some of it physical - but it still does a crapton of damage, both single target and AoE; the other two aren't quite as damaging, but have other benefits).

The Blessings do excellent damage by most standards, have very good secondary abilities, and last long enough to be useful. The only problems with them is that they don't work well with ranged weapons, so you really should carry a melee weapon around to switch to so that you're not accidentally firing off their PBAoEs too far away... The 30 seconds of enforced downtime's kind of sucky (especially now that Dervish forms are permable right out of the box), but that's what the 7 other skills on your bar are for, efter all.

Hmm. Maybe I'll pull out my old Ursan + adrenal Axe build tomorrow and take it for a spin. Haven't used it in a few months... Then try the other two since Ursan no longer completely and utterly outclasses them.

Ursan teams are solid. Can still clear DoA pretty reasonably, just use Air of Superiority when it runs out and as your mobs around you die it should recharge and you can repeat. It's quite fun , you all should try it sometime.

No. Just, no. Especially if you look at Ursan's history and what it did to the game. Even if you could justify it, and there are a couple of reasons why they could consider it, I think Anet should not do this, out of mere principle. Although that's not a very good reason, but meh.

Nerf the numbers a bit, and make them disable other PVE forms on the bar for 2min when used.

Right now they see slightly more play in PVE than mind burn, might as well make them a fun secondary skill. Who doesn't enjoy being able to swap from caster to melee?

If you still think they're OP, don't use them. It's not like they're powerful enough to affect the economy, and since that's the only way other players can impact you these days it's pretty much irrelevant.
